Someone once said, to know a culture is to know the foods. The flavors and aroma of La Unión are unique especially to those from the states. Unfortunately, many men that come to Unión de Tula from out of town are interested in just one thing...
the beautiful 'chicks'.

One snack that is very common in the states are "churros". However, churros in Unión de Tula are far different than that in the states. As with most food in the city, churros are made from scratch and with local ingredients, not in factories. They use fresh corn, cane sugar and animal lard (which adds a unique flavor). Understanding how churros taste so much better in Unión de Tula is the simple key to why most all foods taste better there. They are made from scratch and with natural ingredients.

Unión de Tula is primarily an agrarian town. Many in town either raise their own livestock and crops, or they buy them fresh from vendors who grow them locally. In this chapter of the web site, we explore aspects of 4 different foods listed below:

    A couple enjoys fresh ice cream on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The ice cream comes in two varieties now. The factory (Thrifty" brand) ice cream and the local ice cream made fresh. The local ice cream is a bit more expensive but I believe it is worth the extra flavor.
    One of my favorite beverages is
    One of my favorite beverages is "Chocomil" which is basicly supercharged chocolate milk. They take fresh milk from the dairy, add pure chocolate extract, chocolate flavoring, cane sugar and one raw egg. They then blend it well till it gets foamy and pour it into a plastic bag with staw.
